Certified Massage Therapist Seal from CAMTC

My name is Elizabeth Gonzalez, or as you know me, Ellie. I am a Certified Massage Therapist, Health Educator and founder of In Touch Massage. My passion for massage and holistic wellness stems from my lifelong fascination with the human body. A passion started when my mom, also a massage therapist, began teaching me the lessons of touch and anatomy at the age of 7.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, I was a gymnast for the first eight years of my life on an Olympic track. This is where I got my first introduction to the importance of physical health and wellness. It was a path I only left when I found my passion for musical theatre. Between private performing arts conservatories, a high school education at Hollywood High Performing Arts Magnet, and a college career including New York University and the University of California, Los Angeles, I spent my youth perfecting my vocal tones and range, learning how to craft character, and MOVING MY BODY through dance of all types. It turns out a bunch of youths always in motion with jazz/tap/ballet would also be my very first massage clients, presenting issues of the body related to constant motion and performance trauma.

After graduating with a BA in theatre, I did what all Los Angeles performers do…and decided to secure myself a more stable career to support my performance career. Falling back on the skill of my youth, I sought out professional massage education at the National Holistic Institute where in 2012 I graduated as a Massage Therapist and Health Educator. Opening In Touch Massage for the first time that same year, giving massages professionally has been a staple in my life for over 10 years. While still pursuing a career in the arts, I have provided massages in hotels, spas, chiropractic offices, hospitals, gyms, massage boutiques, and in the private homes of clients all over Los Angeles.

After the event of 2020-2021, I have set my sights back on the prize. Officially reopening In Touch Massage in 2021 I have prioritized providing the absolute best services to clients new and old. In 2023, I am excited to offer clients any way possible to receive personalized therapeutic treatments whether in the comfort of their own home, or in my newly opened Westchester studio location.

Keep your eye out for me. I am always expanding my knowledge base with continuing education in massage techniques and practices, and see a time coming soon I return to higher education (adding a few more letters to the end of my name and what not). The eventual future of In Touch Massage is the expansion of this solo massage business into In Touch Wellness, a wellness center offering massage, Pilates, yoga and nutrition coaching and counseling from a registered dietician, focusing on serving my community of Inglewood, CA. You can hear more about that here:

Of course, until that time, I look forward to seeing you soon, either in-home or in my Westchester studio space. In fact, make sure to book your next appointment with the link below. Have a blessed day. 🌿
